Abortion argumentative essays
An argumentative essay on abortion involves taking a stance on the issue and defending it with pieces of arguments and/or evidence. You may decide to argue that abortion should be legal or that it should not be legal. Whatever side you take, be sure to include an introduction, body, and conclusion.
In the introduction, provide a brief background about the issue and why there is a heated debate about it. Mention that the argument is between the Pro-life and Pro-choice groups. Finally in your thesis statement, clearly state the side you are taking.
The body should consist of multiple paragraphs each of which should adequately explain one point. In the first few paragraphs, explain why you take the side you chose to take. Refer to and cite relevant sources. In the next few paragraphs, expect opposing views and provide rebuttals to them. Explain why the views are wrong or baseless.
In the conclusion, restate your stance on the issue. Provide a summary of the points with which you support your stance. Cap it all by including a point that serves as a takeaway from the essay.
