Political science research paper examples are based on research and follow a standard format. First, there is an introduction where the researcher clearly states their purpose in writing the paper. They should also explain in this section why theirs is an interesting topic and how relevant it is to political science theory.
Second, describe your data collection procedures, data sources, methods of variables, and analysis methods if your paper involves quantitative analysis.
Third, present your findings. If the paper involves testing of hypotheses, present and discuss the results of the tests here. Additionally, present and discuss counter-arguments or counter-evidence.
Fourth, discuss the conclusions and inferences that can be drawn from the findings. Relate them back to the theoretical statements of the first section as this reveals the extent to which the research has gained.
Fifth and finally, include a very brief summary if it seems useful.
